Step 1: Ovarian Stimulation & Monitoring
Over 10 to 12 days, tailored hormone injections gently stimulate the ovaries to mature multiple eggs simultaneously. Regular pelvic ultrasounds and hormone blood tests track follicle dimensions precisely.
Step 2: Egg Retrieval & Lab Fertilization
Once follicles reach peak maturity, a trigger shot is administered. Approximately 36 hours later, an egg retrieval is performed under light intravenous sedation. In the embryology lab, eggs are fertilized with partner or donor sperm using standard IVF or high-magnification ICSI.
Step 3: Embryo Development & Gentle Transfer
Embryos develop in specialized incubators until Day 5 (blastocyst stage). Under ultrasound guidance, the best-quality embryo is gently placed into the uterus using a soft catheter. The entire transfer takes less than 15 minutes and is completely painless.
